Your feedback matters, too!
You also have to remember that your opinion matters too, and it is okay if you don't necessarily agree with some of the feedback you get. The important thing is that you're able to step back and recognize what will work best for the website.
Your gut feeling is smarter than you think
An example where we encountered this situation had to do with the layout on one of our pages – some loved it, others didn't love it as much. There was no way we could please everyone, so we went with our gut and left it the way we had designed it originally – and have since received even more awesome feedback that the people are loving it.
It’s important to listen to the feedback your friends and peers are willing to provide, but you can’t please everyone, so don't drive yourself crazy trying. Listen to what everyone has to say, including yourself. At the end of the day, there will always be a balance between their opinions and yours that will usually result in a final design that will benefit your website the most.
